AUGI Bulletins - Specifications

General Content Guidelines

AUGI Bulletin participation is different from a traditional email list rental program.

AUGI Bulletins are not to be used for 'branding' alone, or worse, to SPAM members with a generic message of the 'year round discount' in the hopes of getting a 1 or 2% response rate. Rather, bulletins should engage readers - "talk with them and not at them."  With this in mind, all special offers and announcements in AUGI Bulletins must contain a clearly stated offer or invitation.

Technical Specifications

AUGI Bulletins are mailed under an official AUGI HTML header. Sponsor contribution is text only, no graphics, images, logos, etc.

Body Copy
While there is not a set limit to the number of words, the message should contain enough information to pique the readers interest, and be brief enough to maintain their interest. Bullet points are an excellent way to get your major points across in a clean, simple manner that gets results.

Keep in mind: Your goal is not to sell product at this point, but rather to get readers interested enough to take the next step.

Landing Page URL
This should not be a home page. Rather, this should be the page where you are delivering what was promised in the bulletin.

A strong recommendation from AUGI is to create a unique landing page that says "Welcome AUGI members" near the top.... and then delivers what was promised in the message.
