Advertising Materials - Film or Camera-Ready Art

Please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting advertising materials as film or camera-ready art to AUGIWorld magazine.

  • Advertising materials should be submitted as film negatives or camera-ready copy at 1200 dpi or higher.
  • Four color should be furnished as one-piece litho negatives, right reading, emulsion side down. A color proof, Chromalin or Match Print must be included. 133-line screen preferred. Density maximum for four-color process film is 260%. The maximum for any one color should be 85%.
  • Black and white and 2 color is preferred furnished as one piece litho negatives, right reading emulsion side down. Camera ready art/repro acceptable. Density maximum for two-color is 160% and the second color should not exceed 85%.
  • Additional camera work, alterations and conversions of materials are subject to an extra charge.
  • Separate guidelines include lowering the midtone range by 10% - from 50% to 40% on a normal or good transparency. Hold whites very clean (5% or less) and use no dots at all in the extreme highlights (let them go bald). Keep colors bright - that is, minus blue in the reds and minus red in the blues and yellows.
