Promoboxes - Guidelines

General Content Guidelines

AUGI.com Promoboxes are different from banner advertisements on other websites. While these banner ads are often used for 'branding' alone and end up running for some time with a 'static' presence, Promoboxes on AUGI.com are specifically designed to present a regularly updated, 'special offer' of interest to Autodesk product users.

To that end, all Promoboxes must have a clearly stated offer, announcement or invitation.  Additionally, for multiple month campaigns, the headline text needs to be refreshed monthly.

Here are some examples of what IS NOT acceptable for Promoboxes

"Visit XYZ Software at www.xyz.com for all your CAD needs!"
(Reason: no clear offer stated)

"Put the power in Autodesk Inventor with 'InventorNos'
(Reason: no clear offer stated)

Here are some examples of acceptable/recommended Promoboxes

"Slow workstation got you down? Get Afterburner from QuickCAD and increase productivity by 300% -- Free 30 day trial!"

"Confused about the "Auto" part of AutoCAD? CADhelperEZ offers training in simple, clear steps - free demo available!"

 


Technical Specifications

Promobox content is text only, no graphics, images, logos, etc. 

Headline - Text should not exceed one line (approximately 2-3 words)
Message - Approximate allowable word count is up to 12 average size words

Keep in mind: Your goal is not to sell product at this point, but rather to get readers interested enough to take the next step.

Landing Page URL

This should not be a home page. Rather, this should be the page where you are delivering what was promised in the Promobox message.

A strong recommendation from AUGI is to create a unique landing page that says "Welcome AUGI members" near the top.... and then delivers what was promised in the message.
